Marcovic G (2007) Poor relationship between strength and power qualities and agility performance.

Six tests of leg extensor strength and power were obtained. They all focused on the ability to generate force vertically. When these measures then were compared to agility performance (single and multiple correlation) no to weak relationships were established. The authors consequently call for a more specific and functional approach to testing. One important consideration then could be the specificity of the laterality of force generation in agility.
